Foxconn Setting up Above 10 Factories in India, Prepared to Manufacture the iPhone

We’ve seen quite a few Chinese companies turning their focus India in the past year, with names like Xiaomi endeavoring to conquer that market. Now, apparently they’ve got manufacturing potential, since Foxconn is creating over 10 factories in this country.

The Chinese giant targets producing iPhones along with smartphones in India. Foxconn is the largest contract electronic manufacturing company worldwide, with many different big brands depending on their production abilities. Apple devices is going to be made in Maharashtra, in the west of India. The website from the facilities producing the iPhone could be Pune or Aurangabad.

It’s imperative that you mention that currently, India provides the world’s largest amount of cellphones, in spite of that only 7% turn out to be made locally. This simply means we’ll start seeing reputed devices using the “made in India” tag to them. The best thing is that folks in India can get jobs and such factories will likely attract other investment.

There will also be discussions of opening Apple R & D units from the same country, just like the ones in the UK, China or Israel. The ten to 12 facilities that Foxconn will build in the united states of Micromax and Lava will probably be completed by 2020.
